I have begun to question sending out thank you posts when a photo blog reposts one of my pictures. I know people don’t want thanky text posts cloggin up their dashboards and it can feel a little self congragulatory to me, but at the end of the day I still feel a tremendous amount of gratitude for the recognition and validation of my photos.
Gray Card just reblogged a picture that I took many years ago with my old Canon SD400. It was a cheap point and shoot, and I don’t even have that camera anymore, but it just goes to show that you can take beautiful photographs if you just put yourself out into the world, be mindful of your vision, and develop your skills. Nice gear helps, but there is more to it.
I also want to thank Steve at The Photographers Society for posting my photo Spotlight.
